Cary (CH) - Seppi décroche son neuvième Challenger

Comme Jo-Wilfried Tsonga il y a peu à Cassis, Andreas Seppi ne regrette pas son passage en Challenger. L'Italien, 35 ans, a remporté le Challenger de Cary, en Caroline du Nord. S'il avait sauvé trois balles de match en demi-finale face à Enzo Couacaud, le Transalpin a moins tremblé dimanche en finale. Il a renvoyé à ses études le jeune américain Michael Mmoh en trois sets (6-2, 6-7, 6-3). Il gagne trois places au nouveau classement ATP (n°74).
