Du 2 au 10 avril 2022 se déroulera le Charleston Open en Caroline du Sud. Cette année, c'est la Russe Veronika Kudermetova qui a été sacrée pour son deuxième titre en carrière. Pour cette 50e édition du WTA 500, les organisateurs ont vu grand avec de nouveaux courts pour attirer les plus grandes joueuses. Sept joueuses ont déjà confirmé, dont deux membres du Top 10. Garbine Muguruza, première espagnole titrée au Masters féminin, et sa compatriote Paula Badosa. Celles-ci seront accompagnées par Simona Halep, Belinda Bencic, Leylah Fernandez, Madison Keys et Sloane Stephens.
